That’s ridiculous, especially in light of the TDI fiasco. There is no business sense in starting a completely new motorsports program from scratch, much less a NASCAR program for a company whose slogan is “Leading through technology.”

VAG still uses an OHV V8 in Bentleys, so this isn’t completely ridiculous.

It wouldn’t be a new program from scratch, just an engine program and a nose section of the car. Expensive but compared to designing a total F1 car it’s a better deal. Still doubt it will happen though, every few years another foreign manufacture get’s mentioned but nothing comes from it.
